House Update

The house plans are moving along. The last step is the kitchen design. Hopefully that will be wrapped up next week, and final dwgs will be available the second week in August. We plan to submit for permit approval during the 3rd week of August, and if all goes well, we will start digging during the last week in August.

Steve's dad thinks everything will be ready by Christmas. I've tried to get him to put that in writing. :)

9 month update

->Dr visit stats: 31.5 inches, 29lbs 10oz (off the charts for height and weight)
->Currently wearing a skin tight size 24 months. (The nurse wanted to bet me that he would be in a 5T by the time he was 15 months old)
-> He rolls all over the place
-> Yesterday he army crawled across the floor to get to a dancing dinosaur
-> He has chowed down on all stage 3 foods plus: scrambled egg yolks, pancakes, waffles, yogurt, watermelon, bread, cheese and crackers, pasta
-> Everything is "da-da" unless he's crying. And then he screams ma-ma
-> He will only watch one thing on tv, the old school animated "Is your mama a llama?". It buys us 3 minutes to get him dressed in his pj's
-> He was just diagnosed with another ear ache (I forgot if this was ear ache 4 or 5) We have setup an appt with the ear/nose Dr in Sept.
-> He loves balls. He will grab them with his hands and feet, and lay on his back like a circus seal
-> He has duped us into letting him sleep with us for an hour or two ~3-4 times a week. (he is super snuggly)
-> Ursa is still his best friend. He picks her over us EVERY time. I think she likes the fact that he is a treat machine.

Its been a sad month of posting...for some reason I just haven't been in the mood. (Sorry pole that I am letting your memories slip by) I have a few new pics...I'll try to post them this weekend.

Alternative means of transportation

Why crawl when you can roll across the floor at lightning quick speeds? If you crawl, you have to lift your gut off the ground. Rolling allows you to utilize the momentum of your girth to propel you in an assortment of directions. Needless to say, the pole has mastered the barrel roll the weekend. He is also standing (and falling hard).

Pole was re-diagnosed with double ear infections on 7/6. Thankfully after a new antibiotic, it looks like we have made a full recovery. We are scheduled to fly to FL this Wednesday for little sister's wedding. Steve will be coming with us this time. (It will be nice to have my own personal pack mule to haul our things through the airport)

This weekend pole enjoyed some watermelon and lemon cake. I'm excited for him to try a piece of a Chick-fil-a biscuit in the big F-L. He is hard core teething again. His fav teething ring is my elbow or Steve's knee/toe.

One other funny tidbit...Steve picked him up from school this week and the teacher said that they were "finger painting with shaving cream". All of the kids lasted ~5 minutes, but not the pole. She said he was still going strong ~30 minutes later. She actually had to take his paper away b/c it was disintegrating (he got to paint the table right before lunch....yum!)
