1st Hair Cut

The pole was rubbing his ears like crazy last night, and I was scared it was another ear infection. I turn him over to look, and his hair was longer than his ear. We decided it was time for a trim. he did pretty well. Steve had to play a few musical instruments to keep him busy, but we were able to get it cut without anyone getting hurt!

10 month update

Holy crap...the pole is 10 months old.

-Last week we had to make a quick run to the hospital. Steve was folding laundry with the pole on our bed while I was cooking dinner. He turned around for a second, and when he looked back, the pole was doing a face dive onto our hardwood floors. Thankfully Steve was able to grab his shirt and dull a little of the impact. Everything checked out ok at the hospital, and we were sent on our way.
-The pole is now crawling around at top speed. He is into everything...fan cords, the dogs water dish, old cheerios that mysteriously show up on the ground, shoes...you name it, he wants it
-His food list has expanded: white fish, veggie burgers, mac n cheese, green beans, baked beans, kiwi, cheese eggs, bagel, pasta, meatballs, carrots, sweet potatoes, lunch meat, cheeses (various)
-He is wearing ~3T shorts, and ~2T/3T shirts depending on the brand
-He loves clapping while we sing "If your happy and you know it". He will actually start clapping and stare at us until we start singing to accompany his hand movements.

Sit and Spin

I swear we buy nice toys for the pole. And I promise we aren't punishing him by making him use a ghetto sit and spin.

Fun Foods

When he's not battling an ear infection, the pole likes to explore the culinary world. Lately he enjoys turkey lunch meat with American cheese, watermelon, peaches, pancakes, scrambled eggs and hummus. Red pepper hummus to be exact.

Ursa is always close by, just in case there is a little extra. Unfortunately for her, right now the pole has no interest in sharing his food.

The Amazing Pole-denni

Yesterday, pole sat up (from a laying down position) all by himself! He also crawled a few steps on his hands and knee's.

Poor Pole

Last week at his 9 month checkup, the pole was diagnosed with another ear infection in his left ear. Yesterday he was running a high temp, so we took him back to the Dr. Now both of his ears are infected (AGAIN!!!!). We are on a new super antibiotic....hopefully this works. I was home with him yesterday, and Steve and I are both home with him today. (So far its not good....he has been maintaining a steady ~101-102 temp). He is passed out on our bed right now snoozing, while Steve and I try to work from home.

The poor little guy is refusing to take his bottles (I'm sure the sucking is killing his ears). He is also protesting most of his food (VVVEERRRY unlike him to turn down a meal). Thankfully he will still eat 1/2 a small container of yobaby yogurt and cheerios.

I wish his ear/nose Dr appt was today and not next week.

To top off all of this joy, we think he is cutting another tooth. He has started drooling like crazy again (the really thick clear stuff).
