Ear Update

Late post....

After the pole got the tubes, his ears were dry for a month or so. All of the sudden, they started draining a dark nasty fluid. The Dr said that a small blob of wax probably blocked his right ear (the worse ear). After a few weeks, the remaining 10-20% of infected fluid built up enough pressure to blow out the ear wax, and so the heavy draining began. Gross

2 weeks ago we brought the pole back to his ear specialist for the 2 month post op follow up. The Dr determined that the pole still had some "gunk" stuck behind the tube in his right ear. When he initially got the tubes, the Dr did let us know that he was only able to suck ~80-90% of the stuff out of his right ear b/c it was so swollen. After another quick suctioning in the hospital (which the pole was NOT happy about), we were on our way. The pole has just finished a week cycle of ear drops, and everything looks great.

Anyways, everything is looking good and hopefully this is it!!!
